The Big Day

Sunday, October 15th, 2023
The Venue
The ceremony & reception will be at The Mill Site which is located just 1.3 miles from our house! It is a historic building that once printed the Anoka Union newspaper and was later turned into a beautiful event space! It’s located right on the Rum River and very close to downtown Anoka!
Time
The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm. Due to the small space and short time to change from ceremony to reception set-up, we are not able to have our full guest list attend the ceremony. Guests invited to the ceremony should arrive between 3:30 and 3:50.
There will be a cocktail hour following the ceremony, followed by dinner and dancing.

FAQ
When is the RSVP Deadline?
We ask that all guests RSVP by Sunday, September 3, 2023. Please use the RSVP tab on this website to submit your RSVP!
What will the weather be like?
Most years the weather has been in the low to mid-50’s, but it’s Minnesota so only time will tell. If you somehow know, please tell us—it would really help our planning!
Will I need a car?
We highly recommend having a car to explore the area and we do not have transportation available to/from the venue!
What should I wear?
We encourage guests to wear cocktail or semi-formal attire.
What time should I arrive?
Cocktail hour begins at 5:00; please arrive on time! Please consult your invitation for information about our ceremony.
What is parking like?
There will be some parking in the lot of The Mill Site or a short walk away at the nearby park. Parking is free!
Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?
Our favorite thing about our venue is that we can decide this day of and make either work. If it is not raining or too windy or anything that would make for ruined looks or photos, the ceremony will be outdoors!
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Our ceremony will be outrageously photogenic considering who our flower girl & ring bear(er) are but we will have two professional photographers capturing the ceremony and ask that you be mindful of their sight-lines.
What time will the reception end?
All guests must leave The Mill Site by 12AM. The music & dancing will end around 11 to allow some time for clean up and clear out.
Can I bring my kids?
Unfortunately we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party at our reception. If you are traveling from out of town and you do not have childcare options, please contact Bre at 262-352-1456 to discuss options of expanding our guest count to include your kids.
Do you have a theme?
Not really! If we HAD to pick one it would be Fall! Or Dogs! Or Llamas? Or excellent dance moves? Or cheesecake! Or breakfast for dinner?…. let me get back to you on this one.
Where are you going on your Honeymoon?
We will be taking a rather delayed Honeymoon in April 2024! We will be going on a French Polynesian cruise!
I have a question that isn’t answered!
Please email or text your questions to Bre at bre.k.grove@gmail.com or 262-352-1456 and we will answer your question and add it to this list! Please do not send questions on the day of the wedding as they are unlikely to be answered!
